Oh So Proper

So our little guy is into crossing his ankles now...he even did it in the tub tonight! Its hilarious when he does it. Here are a couple pics:

Stinker is such a good baby, I love cuddling with him in the mornings after his breakfast we read stories in mama and daddys bed under the fluffy down comforter :) Today he held a book in his hands for the first time - it was one about colors and another about animals. He is still working on controlling his hand movements so when he took the book from me, he whapped himself in the head with it and then gave me a dirty look :)

Dentist Day

Today I had my first dentist appointment since having the bay-bah and I wasnt sure how it was going to go with a little one...but true to his nature it went GREAT!

Our sweet receptionist hung-out with our little guy for about 40 minutes while I was in the back getting x-rays and my teeth cleaned. I left him in his carseat (which he HATES) during his naptime....how was I supposed to know what his schedule was going to be 6 months ago when I set up the appointment??? But either way I wouldn't blame him for crying and being crabby but when I walked out to the front, the receptionist was swinging back and forth on her swivel chair with the baby in her arm and he was in heaven :)

She said he didn't cry at all, just sat with her loving being held. I am so thankful for such a sweet, content, smily baby boy!

Stinker is so active these days...

Double Foot Stomp

This is my view each morning as Stinker lets me know he is awake and ready for breakfast. Most babies just cry in their bassinets ... you know use their voices ... not Stinker, no he is a bit more physical. He raises his feet inside his swaddle blanket (like so) and then proceeds to slam them down and repeats this until someone rescues him from his bed. So my alarm clock each morning is WHAM....WHAM WHAM....WHAM...and so on! So here I am bright and early looking across my bed over to his bassinet, so I sneak out of the room to get the camera and back into my bed so I could document this and not forget it! :)

Our Little Athlete

Daddy played hockey in college and he still has his old, well-used hat. Maybe our little athlete will follow in daddy and auntie snack's footsteps and play hockey too someday...for now he at least has got the hat on :)




Today Stinker rolled over from his tummy to his back and then onto his tummy again! He was so proud of himself he kept perfecting it all afternoon. I got the text message from Daddy that this was his afternoon project, when I got home from work I got to see this new trick for myself. A few days ago he rolled over from his back to tummy randomly - he made no effort to do that before and once he would be on his tummy he wouldn't be too happy about it!

New Blog

ok after reading an article on cnn.com about the web presence of kids under 2 i realized i needed to be a little more wise about the info that i share...hence the new blog! this one is titled based off an observation my loving husband made about our difference in grocery shopping. i tend to dawdle and get distracted when grocery shopping where speedy is 'all business'. stinker is well enough said right?? so lets move on!

so here is a brief update from the past couple weeks...

recently, we said 'so long' to some close friends the Sands. they moved to colorado for an awesome job opportunity - their gain for sure our loss! here are some picks of stinker and their daughter falling in love and saying 'see ya later'.




stinker loves kids and we went over last weekend for a play date with a sweet family from our church. the hubbies went surfing and us mommies and kiddos hung out playing with their new puppy. here are some pics of stinker loving the full attention he got from 2 sweet kids in our covenant family :)





i am loving going back to work, i feel very blessed to get long full mornings and early afternoons with stinker before heading in for a few short hours of adult-time :) i am progressing professionally and stinker gets an afternoon of quality time alone with daddy - a win win situation! here are some pics of daddy and son time...
